How the Vetreria Artistica Rosa logo was born
Our logo is not a simple graphic sign.
It is a symbol that tells us who we are, where we come from and what our art represents.
Its shape recalls the prow iron of the Venetian gondola, an iconic and elegant element, recognized throughout the world as the emblem of the city of Venice.
But inside this figure there is a detail that is small in size, yet immense in meaning.
It is the "comb", also called "dolfin": with its teeth it represents the districts of Venice, the beating heart of the lagoon and its thousand-year history.
An element that embellishes the gondola and completes its formal balance, just as it completes tradition and gives meaning to our glassmaking art.
The bow iron is not just an ornament.
It has always been a means of communication, a way to affirm the artistic, historical and cultural greatness of Venice.
For this reason we chose to make it our logo: because it contains the provenance of our art, our identity and our profound belonging to this unique city.
The logo was created by Carlo Rosa in the 1980s and initially used as a personal signature in his paintings.
Over time, this sign has gone beyond the individual artistic dimension to become the symbol of an entire family and a shared vision.
Subsequently, the logo was noticed by Giorgio Igne, an internationally renowned sculptor, author among other works of the famous "Unknown Carabiniere", confirming its symbolic and expressive value.
Art is our strength
Art is our strength is not just a slogan.
It is a declaration of identity.
Each of our glassmaking works takes shape thanks to excellent manual skill, matured over time and fueled by an authentic passion.
It is the same force that allows us to start from a risky, extreme, unique idea and transform it into matter, light and emotion.
When glass is born from the hands of a Master, the soul and body of the work become one.
And what is created no longer belongs to time: it becomes immortal.
We became master glassmakers precisely for this reason:
to be able to allow ourselves to forget the rules, overcome limits and dare without fear.
It is this creative freedom, rooted in tradition but projected beyond all boundaries, that distinguishes us in the world.
